18 August 2007 – Appearances can be deceiving, and Boston Acoustics’ sound bar speaker is a perfect example of this idiom.
Unlike many sound bar styled speakers, the latest Boston Acoustics sound bar speaker is not capable of reproducing surround sound like output, but it does have some other neat features.
The purpose of the TVee Model Two speaker is to usurp the role of your TVs speakers.
As such, the TVee Model Two can be integrated to receive the volume control signals from your TV remote to avoid the hassle of constant remote switching. Appended to the new soundbar speaker is subwoofer that has one very interesting feature.
The subwoofer is wireless, so it can be placed anywhere in your room provided that it is close to a power supply.
Overall, this 100 watt system does seem capable of replacing your pathetic built-in TV speakers with an ease of use that renders it’s setup almost idiot-proof.
However, the TVee Model Two is only capable of two channel stereo sound, so don’t expect to be blown away by your new cinematic experience when using these.
