A Magnolia Home Theater customer herself, Maria Yee visited numerous Magnolia locations, spending hours documenting the wants and needs of its customers. She then married her design expertise with the technical features Magnolia customers desired. Many of the options currently on the market offer ready-to-assemble furniture in limited styles that don’t necessarily fit the evolving needs of toda’s customer.
Each Maria Yee product offers a combination of trend-setting design, function and technology to bring out the best of HDTV and sound systems.
The EcoLuxury products are constructed from environmentally-friendly materials, including BambooTimbreTM. BambooTimbre is created using Maria Yee’s patent-pending, eco-friendly technique which flattens, layers and bonds bamboo culms in defined patterns. All Maria Yee products are handcrafted using a proprietary process rooted in stringent environmental practices and innovative methodologies.
Our collaboration with Best Buy to create a furniture line that provides customers with options to complete their home entertainment needs is based on spending countless hours listening and learning from the consumer, said Maria Yee, the company’s namesake founder. As our team created a design blueprint for the media consoles, we had the opportunity to document the wants and needs of the Magnolia Home Theater customers to offer a unique, quality experience to consumers.
Maria Yee EcoLuxury Product Line
In developing the concept and design for the media consoles, Maria Yee’s desire was to create products that were as technologically-advanced as they were easy to use. To ensure the Magnolia customer centered philosophy was met, Maria Yee married the design, engineering and features components of the Best Buy home entertainment products. Based on extensive in-house research and speaking directly with Magnolia Home Theater customers to document their individual wants and needs, Maria Yee developed three media consoles that include the following special features:
* Easy installation: The removable solid bamboo and hardwood back panels allow the user to easily install equipment. The extremely durable back panels can also be removed with one hand.
* Ventilation system: A thoughtfully-designed, zero-energy ventilation system silently accommodates the high-performance equipment inside. Artful openings in the removable back panels and shelves channel cool air in and hot air out.
* Vibration control: Sliding glass doors which showcase the latest technology inside along with the center speaker drawer front panels are equipped with vibration controls to help ensure even the heaviest bass won’t rattle the glass, shake the stand or distort the sound.
* Technology-enabled solutions: High-quality, concealed under-mount glides, which feature a self-closing mechanism, ensure the user can’t jar the contents when closing the drawer. The drawers are sized and divided for CD/ DVD organization.
* Configuration options for evolving customer needs: An acoustic fabric-covered panel, a standard part, encloses the center speaker drawer to provide better sound quality. Also included is an interchangeable perforated metal grid that protects equipment from pets and small children and a storage drawer equipped with a configurable storage divider.
