Meticulous Swiss audio manufacturer, Goldmund, has introduced a new analogue preamplifier called the Mimesis 37S. The 37S is a mid-level preamp that is designed from a simplified schematic of the company’s flagship 22S preamp. The 37S features a robust I/O set that consists of balanced (x2) and unbalanced (x5) inputs, and balanced and unbalanced outputs.
Like the 22S the 37S is a dual-mono unit that uses an external power supply to minimize any noise or crosstalk. Although the 37S is a simplified version of the 22S, it should still delight any analog audio purist; especially since the 37S retails for a third of the price of the 22S. The 37S is a limited production unit that will be released this December; unfortunately, most of the units have already been spoken for by analog audiophiles the World over.
