Japan’s Daily Yomiuri newspaper is citing an anonymous source that says that Panasonic is developing a staggeringly large 150-inch plasma TV, beating out the JVC 110-inch TV as the world’s largest.
Panasonic, who recently cancelled their only truly enormous TV, their 103-inch plasma, is now trying to claim the title of “world’s largest”.
Although little is known about the actual specifications of this set, other than the 150-inch diagonal measurement, many people are speculating about this set being capable of full 1080p resolution.
If this is true, the several hundreds of thousands of dollars you might spend on one of these might become less troublesome for the super wealthy consumer electronics freak.
The rumors suggest that this set might be shown at CES this January, but that production might not begin in earnest until 2009.
