Just when we thought we couldn’t stand to look at another iPod dock, here comes the Moderna from Phiaton. We have to admit the design is pretty cool on this one, with nice sleek lines and those tubes on the sides that look more like engines than speakers. The 5-pound speaker is rated at 50 watts — pretty decent for the class (though it’s no Zeppelin).
Phiaton plans to release the Moderna, along with a few pairs of horribly colored headphones by spring, though company reps were shifty when pressed on pricing. But if it’s expensive, it has to be good, right?
