The name Meridian speaks of exquisite engineering and elegant style. The company has already impressed us with the $20,000 DVD player, Ferrari F80 audio system, and lately the DSP7200 loudspeakers. The latest product to carry the brand’s legacy forth is the high-definition video projector, the MF10. Inspired from the award-winning MF1, the new MF10 video projector utilizes the latest-generation D-ILA light-engine technology, in a maximum performance three-chip 1080p array. Based on an all-new 0.7-inch DILA device, the MF10’s advanced optical package makes for a significant reduction in stray light and thereby delivering great black levels, in excess of 30,000:1 native contrast ratio, without the use of a servo iris. The upshot is film-like textures and depth, and a terrific cinematic visual experience. Another feather to the wings is the projector’s outstandingly accurate, 16-element, all-glass lens that guarantees sharp, fully-focused imaging across the entire screen, edge to edge and top to bottom.
The 2x zoom throws a large, bright image and deliver image size from 60 to 200 inches. The MF10’s ‘pixel-for-pixel’ unprocessed mode is custom made to work in parallel with Meridian’s newest digital video processor, the DVP2351. Meridian is offering the D-ILA MF10 Digital Projector for $14,995 while the DVP2351 Digital Video processor will be sold separately for $3,995.
