Until now, I thought waterbeds were nothing but a futile waste of money except for those patients with bedsores, but this piece of information has certainly inspired a change of thoughts. Not my fault though for this is the first time that I hear of a waterbed which comes with built-in-speakers.
Akva Sound (nope it’s not a spelling error but that’s the name of the company which has innovated it) should be credited for using the unique ability of water as a sound and oscillation carrier, which ultimately gave birth to this product. Akva Sound consists of a special base plate for mounting loudspeakers inside the bed.
Words from AKVA SOUND®
– waterbed with built-in sound ensures optimum stimulation of the senses
Feel the gallop thundering through your body -sense the blast from take-off, or lose yourself in the giddying sensation of hovering with eagles in the sky. It is all just motion picture make believe, of course – but when you are lying in your waterbed with its built-in loudspeakers, you feel like Harry Potter on the Hippogriff’s back. The sound plays in your ear, the images fill your mind, and the warm vibrations of the water give you the intense feeling of being right where it all happens!
The secret behind Akva Sound® is the utilisation of the water’s unique properties as a carrier of sound and oscillation.
