These 2008 HDTVs offers the best in context to quality and performance. In the DLP HDTV line-up, three new 73-inch 1080p DLP HDTV models as well as 60-inch and 65-inch sizes are included that carry thinner frames, increased brightness and 3D-ready capability along with Mitsubishi’s exclusive 6-Color Processor for extraordinary vivid color reproduction. Consumers will notice outstanding large screen performance, Diamond feature like Smooth120Hz to optimize fast action scenes and Dark Detailer for higher contrast imagery, a high gloss design and Blue Light Accent.
“Mitsubishi’s 1080p DLP HDTVs create a truly immersive 3D experience with picture quality that far exceeds that of previous 3D displays,” noted David Naranjo, director of product development at Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America. “3D content is already available today via PC media systems and our 3D-ready televisions will allow customers to take advantage of 3D formatted movie, sports, and video game content when available in the future.”
Seven Ultra Thin Frame 1080p LCD HDTV models ranging from 40″ to 52″ are introduced, in which the company has decreased frame widths by over 10 percent on all LCD models. The new range has low-profile speakers for improved sound, Smooth 120Hz Film Motion and GalleryPlayer technology and also leverages 10bit Panels, 6-Color Processor, x.v.Color and Deep Color.
The Smooth 120Hz Film Motion eliminates this artifact for smooth, crisp, fast and slow action content; the GalleryPlayer software ensures display of stunning high-definition art and photography. Similar to DLP HDTVs, the exclusive Diamond incorporates Variable Smooth120Hz Film Motion to optimize movie reproduction, a high performance, low profile speaker design for high-quality sound, DeepField Imager for higher contrast imagery; and a high gloss design with Blue Light Accent.
The LaserVue, a first-ever-laser-powered TV, has the capability to produce twice the color spectrum that the eye can see and deliver a range of color – never before seen in home entertainment. Users will get to experience the widest range of rich, complex colors, along with a true 3D viewing experience.
The Mitsubishi LaserVue Laser TV is expected to be available in Q3 of 2008, whereas the DLP and Ultra Thin Frame LCD HDTVs are slated to roll out in April and May 2008, respectively. The price of the DLP HDTV starts from $1,799 to $4,699, the costs of the LCD HDTVs ranges from $2,499 to $4,499.
