Stunning High-Gloss Black Finish Option and Outstanding New Sub-Woofer Design Sets New KEF KHT Lineage Standards
KEF has announced the introduction of its third-generation Home Theatre 2000 Series – the KHT2005.3 5.1 speaker system. The new KHT2005.3 is the latest version of KEF’s most iconic home cinema system family-range, the original of which was first introduced to the market in 2000. The system is complete with 4 HTS2001.3 satellites, an HTC2001.3 centre channel speaker and the new KUBE-2 subwoofer. The satellites and centre channel have an improved multidirectional desktop mount (the same as the KHT3000 series desktop mount) with better stability and user preference positioning, while KUBE-2 has a powerful performance complementing the clarity and sound quality of the satellites and centre channel.
The KHT2005.3 uses KEF’s 4-inch (100 mm) UNI-Qâ driver. Its metal dome tweeter and neodymium magnets deliver an extended bandwidth normally associated with much larger units. KEF UNI-Q technology disperses the sound over a much wider area for all to enjoy the moment without the loss of sound quality wherever they are sitting.
The new KUBE-2 subwoofer is part of the KHT2005.3 home theatre and also can be offered as a stand-alone product. With 250W amplifier, SPL of 112db, 10-inch drive and internal volume of 23 litres, KUBE-2 can deliver a well defined and impressive bass complementing the 2000 series satellite or any other home cinema system. In addition KUBE-2 has a bass boost control which allows adjustment of the subwoofer response to compensate for room conditions and user preference. The KUBE-2 shares the same amplifier topology as the acclaimed KEF HTB2.
The KHT2005.3 is finished in either matt silver or new high gloss black. Suggested Retail Price: £699.99. Available June 2008.
