As far as Internet radios go, the iRadio (£240) is positively overflowing with features. It’s one of only a handful on the current market to be fitted with its very own iPod dock, compatible with ‘Pods such as the Classic and Touch.
And, once it’s hooked up to your home network either wirelessly, or through an Ethernet connection, you can access over 10,000 Internet radio stations.
The iRadio will also play music files stored on your computer or other NAS (Network Attached Storage) device. File formats supported include Windows Media DRM 10, MP3 and AAC+.
Furthermore, you can connect external kit and push sound out through a dedicated hi-fi system via optical/line outputs. Alternatively, you can connect an external hard drive or MP3 player to the iRadio’s USB inputs and play tunes through the internal 5W speaker. [terratec]
