Contemporary Research introduces commercial-grade HDTV tuning to the residential market at the CEDIA Expo 2007, on display at booth 2025. The 232-ATSC HDTV Tuner delivers the full benefits of broadcast HDTV to the home integration system. Receiving off-air HD channels at original video quality and multi-channel programming, the 232-ATSC is unaffected by weather or cable outages. In addition, the versatile tuner brings in analog TV and clear QAM cable channels. Outputs for HDMI, Component/RGB HD, composite video, HDMI audio, coax and optical digital AC-3/PCM audio, and stereo are always active, allowing AV hook-ups in a variety of formats. A pro-level rack-mountable tuner, the 232-ATSC offers full 2-way RS-232 and discrete IR/Wired IR control ports. AMX and Crestron programming modules are available.

While cable and satellite connections can fail, TV broadcasting is always on the air. Moreover, while consumer tuners do not offer pro integration features such as true power and channel feedback, the 232-ATSC can.”
