Swiss loudspeaker manufacturer, Piega, have introduced an elegant speaker system designed to complement any flat panel TV. The TP 5 S is a mid-level two way column loudspeaker housed in a sexy aluminum enclosure. The 5 S incorporates two 4” MDS speakers for the mids and lows, while the highs are handled by Piega’s LDR ribbon tweeter. With these drivers, the 5 S is capable of handling 150 watts at 4 ohms with a frequency range of 40-50,000Hz.
As you can see, Peiga’s new 5 S not only looks good, but should also sound good too. Unfortunately, specs and looks like these don’t come cheap. I’m guessing that the TP 5 S will retail around the same price point as the original TP 5, which is about $6,000.
