Warner has announced that Blu-ray discs with Profile 1.1-compliant content will be available in the near future.
Warner Home Entertainment president, Kevin Tsujihara, said that the first twelve movies to be released were those previously released on the HD DVD format which utilised the HDi interactive functionality.
"We held off releasing them on Blu-ray because we wanted to be able to have the full interactivity," said Tsujishara. "At this point in time, we’re still working out all the kinks, but they will be released soon."
Details are scarce, but "Batman Begins" and the Matrix trilogy will be included titles.
