German headphone specialist and market leader Sennheiser has unleashed four new headsets onto the market aimed specifically at the gaming fraternity, but also good for VoIP, podcasting and computer work.
Split into two categories, the 150 series are closed-back cans designed for total isolation from your environment and thus total concentration on the game at hand. The 160 series however, are open-back capsules designed to enable team conversation when gaming, with true-to-life sound quality.
All models feature the full force of Sennheiser's expertise with noise-cancelling microphones, adjustable mic booms, ultra-soft and ultra-comfy earpads, adjustable headbands, in-line volume control and mic mute, and an ear-bleedingly loud 118dB max volume. Best watch those shell-likes with a spot of WarCraft Battlefield action then!
The closed-back PC 151 retails at £50, while the PC 156 USB adds USB connectivity for LAN parties and gaming tournaments at £90. The open-back PC 161 retails at £70 and the PC 166 also adds that USB connectivity, retailing at £100.
